James McAvoy

June 27, 2008

I’ll give him a skeet.

I know a lot of women are swooning over Mr. McAvoy here, and in my opinion, he’s the new Ewan McGregor. Why? Because he’s Scottish, his last name also starts with “Mc,” and his role in Atonement was sort of hot and romantic in a really perverse way. Don’t know why that makes him like Ewan McGregor? See the film Nora and you’ll understand. Better yet, read this post on Ewan. Also, sometimes he looks hot and sometimes not. What’s up with this, Scottish men? Is it the lighting? Or are they more bold in their choices of roles and don’t care if they make them look really greasy and skeevy? Or maybe it’s questionable personal hygiene. Until I get my own talk show, we may never know the answer. In the meantime, you decide: to skeet, or not to skeet.

He was pretty cute on The Daily Show, but I have to admit, Wanted looks sooooo dumb. And until he insists that he is naked in every film he does, he’ll never even approach Ewan for awesomeness or skeetability, as far as I’m concerned.

Also, Ewan is totally a “Mac”.

Yeah he was cute on the Daily Show. The more ads I see for Wanted, the more I am tempted to see it. Granted, it will be stupid, but it’s an action film.

Maybe it’s because I’m of the testosterone filled gender, but I think Wanted doesn’t look completely awful, and it’s gotten decent->pretty good reviews.

But yes, McAvoy in Atonement was amazing. I need to buy that movie.

James McAvoy is a definite, sure-fire, thrice winning skeet. Here’s the breakdown:

    Skeet 1: Hot (duh) +
    Skeet 2: Good Actor +
Skeet 3: Adorable Accent= skeet skeet skeet

Apologies for the typo, I googled “James McEvoy” and stuff came up, so I assumed it was the correct spelling.

He was great in The Last King Of Scotland. His performance was overshadowed by the brilliance of Forrest Whittaker, but the film would have failed without him. He brought across a perfect combination of vicarious selfishness and naive well-meaning.
