CELEB SIGHTING: Waris Ahluwalia in the West Village
June 28, 2008

Remember that guy in the turban in those Wes Anderson movies, and
Spike Lee’s The Inside Man? Last night, walking with Katie and Katrina down 6th ave, I spotted Waris Ahluwalia in a simple shirt and sweatpants. The only famous Sikh actor in Hollywood, I recognized him immediately, giving him a shy smile. His unfortunate monopoly on Sikh roles is an interesting position. As he points out, “Hollywood doesn’t know what to do with me”.
I’d know what to do with you, Waris.
Click here for an awesome interview on how this jeweler became such a famous actor.
